The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company is the largest local transit provider. With 14 fixed routes, complemented by paratransit and micro transit services, GLTC provides transit services in the City of Lynchburg and in a portion of Madison Heights. GLTC provides real-time bus tracking via the Transit app.
GLTC’s new Flex Microtransit service is available in select locations. The service provides on-demand transportation services within the service area.
Paratransit services are also made available by GLTC for individuals who meet the criteria set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service can be requested at any location within the service area, and within a ¾ mile radius of the fixed routes which extend beyond City limits
